The MSG408/MSG409 are CMOS analog multiplexers. The MSG408 includes 8 single channels, and the MSG409 includes 4 differential channels. The MSG408 can select one signal from 8 input signals and output it to a common output. The specific channel selection is determined by the 3-bit binary address A0, A1, and A2. The MSG409 can select one pair of signals from 4 pairs of differential input signals and output it to a common differential output. The specific differential channel pair is determined by the 2-bit binary address A0 and A1. The EN signal in the MSG408/MSG409 controls the chip. When the EN signal is low, all channels are off.
The MSG408/MSG409 feature low power consumption, low on-resistance, and fast switching. All channels are turned off before switching to prevent short circuits during channel switching.
