Overview

The MS35779 is a high-precision, low-noise two-phase stepper motor driver IC that integrates both fast mode and silent mode to meet different application requirements at high and low speeds. The fast mode employs rapid current rectification for superior dynamic performance, while the silent mode offers reduced noise and higher efficiency. The chip incorporates stall detection and adaptive current regulation based on load monitoring. With built-in power MOSFETs, it supports a continuous operating current of up to 2A and a peak current of 2.8A. It also includes comprehensive protection features such as undervoltage lockout, overcurrent protection (including short-to-ground and short-to-power), and overtemperature protection. The driver can be configured via a UART bus for optimal performance, and settings can be permanently stored through programming. Utilizing the industry-standard STEP/DIR interface, it ensures simple and convenient application.
